🌍 Europe, The “Ex- Promised Land” for Expats

So, remember when Europe was the dream? Fancy castles, endless pasta, Parisian romance? Yeah… about that. Turns out, 2025’s expat survey says Europe is kinda like that old crush you thought was perfect—then you actually moved in together.

The Fall from Grace

Italy, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Germany, and Finland all tumbled down the rankings. Why?

  • Rent so high your wallet cries louder than you do.

  • Paperwork so complicated you need a PhD just to register your address.

  • Making friends? Let’s just say your dog will have better social life than you.

🇪🇸 Spain to the Rescue

But hey, Spain is still carrying Europe’s reputation on its shoulders. Sunshine, tapas, flamenco nights, healthcare that won’t bankrupt you—what’s not to love?

…Well, unless you need a job. Then, good luck. Spain is basically saying: “We’ll give you paella, sangria, and great vibes… but steady career? Nope.” 🍷🍤

 Latin America = Party Central

Meanwhile, Panama, Colombia, and Mexico are living their best lives at the top. Affordable living, salsa everywhere, and locals so friendly you’ll get invited to a family BBQ before you even unpack. Retirees especially love it—because apparently, nothing says golden years like tacos and beaches. 🌮🏖️

Asia Rising

Asia’s not just rising, it’s dominating: Thailand, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia all made the Top 10. Cheap living, tasty food, and scooters zipping past your Airbnb. Sure, some countries rank low in “quality of life”… but who cares when a full meal costs less than your morning Starbucks? ☕🍜

The Bottom 3 (aka “Nope Zones”)

  • South Korea: great K-dramas, but try finding a job there.

  • Turkey: beautiful views, not-so-beautiful job prospects.

  • Kuwait: unless you love sweating in 45°C heat while filling out forms, maybe skip.

👉 Moral of the story? Europe is gorgeous for vacation… but if you’re looking to actually live abroad, maybe grab your flip-flops and head to Latin America or Asia instead. 🌴✈️
