A Coffee Chat on Digital Detox ☕📱

Sam: Dude, have you noticed we can’t sit five minutes without grabbing our phones?

Lee: Guilty… I even check mine while brushing my teeth.

Sam: That’s exactly the problem. Experts say the average person spends over 6 hours a day online. That’s literally a quarter of your life.

Lee: Yikes. So what’s the cure? Throw my phone into the river?

Sam: Nah. It’s called a digital detox. A mini-break from screens. Even a weekend helps.

Lee: Sounds nice… but also impossible. Work, friends, news—it’s all on my phone.

Sam: True. But here’s the trick:

  • Start small → no phone for the first 30 minutes after waking up.

  • Pick “phone-free zones” → like the dining table.

  • Replace scrolling with something fun—read, walk, even just stare out the window.

Lee: And what do I get in return?

Sam: Clarity. Better sleep. Less anxiety. More time for, you know, real life.

Lee: Huh… I might actually try that. But if I disappear, text me.

Sam: Facepalm. That’s not how detox works.
